• Early Games Documented

A compilation of early baseball games played by Canadian teams has now been posted on the site at Research –> Early Games. Primarily the work of Martin Lacoste, with supporting contribution and comment from Director Bill Humber, the table lists the dates, locations and scores of all known games (played in Canada or in the U.S.) through 1870, i.e. before the advent of the professional National Association in 1871. Links to such supporting documentation as box scores and newspaper descriptions are provided, as are links to discussion and commentary regarding selected games.

Note that this compilation is a work in progress. Additions are welcomed.
