Oral History

The Centre for Canadian Baseball Research has undertaken an initiative to document for posterity the story of the founding of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The oral history project, under the direction of Elena North, involves interviews with the principal figures in the Hall’s establishment in Toronto, and in the Hall’s subsequent move to its present location in St. Marys.

When pieced together, the interviews will constitute a comprehensive history of the Hall of Fame, from a concept in Bruce Prentice’s mind to the current expanded Museum and complex of diamonds. Edited transcripts of the individual interviews follow the full history below.
